As a Compensation Partner, you will work under the direction of the Compensation Manager and will partner with business leaders to align compensation initiatives with business objectives and company culture. This position is a hands-on role focusing on analysis, evaluation, development, implementation and administration of the organizational needs. Will develop new and enhanced compensation programs while providing advice and support to department leaders on a wide range of compensation related issues. You will partner and provide direction on job and organizational design that is market competitive and designed to attract, motivate, and retain employees. Partner with HRIS on all Workday Core and Advanced Compensation modules.


  • Partner with the Compensation leader on critical team projects such as salary structure enhancements, merit & annual bonus standardization, and creating a job architecture inclusive of specific job competencies.
  • Serve as project lead and work with key business leaders to develop and implement compensation programs/processes to ensure compensation practices are fair, competitive, equitable, consistent, within budget and aligned with business goals. Includes developing project plans and timetable, identifying issues, and recommending solutions.
  • Develop training material to effectively communicate compensation programs, policies, and practices to HR and company leaders.
  • Acts as internal consultant across departments to solve day to day compensation-related business concerns and provide compensation guidance.
  • Participate in and/or conduct salary surveys and perform market competitive analyses to determine pay trends and practices to support development of the annual pay programs and advise on individual employee pay decisions.
  • Review job descriptions and apply job evaluation techniques to determine the appropriate job classification and exemption status.
  • Review and provide guidance on incentive plan documentation and/or develop moderately complex incentive plans.
  • Provide research and analyses for purposes of developing and/or revising existing programs, policies, and/or practices; make recommendations based on analyses and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Partner with talent acquisition and hiring managers to structure market competitive offers; help answering questions and evaluate job levels and other general comp inquiries.
  • Partner with HRIS on managing, requirements gathering, and testing coordination of Cinemark’s Workday Core and Advanced Compensation modules including merit plans, bonus plans, stock plans, allowance plans and total rewards statements.
  • Design and build compensation metrics, reports, and tools to inform compensation program decisions and forecast and analyze compensation outcomes.
  • Find opportunities to simplify and streamline existing practices and procedures.
  • Oversees the processing of position requests and position management in the Workday Human Resources Management System (HRMS).
  • Prioritize and multitask ad-hoc project assignment.

What You Will Need to Have:

  • 5+ years of meaningful experience in Compensation required
  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent work experience required
  • Executive and equity compensation experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Workday and reporting preferred
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Powerpoint
  • Ability to multitask while managing deadlines, perform well under pressure, work independently and as a part of a team
  • Proven ability to lead projects to timely completion with confidentiality and integrity
  • Ability to succeed in a collaborative environment
  • Good business acumen and awareness of business trends
