Role Summary:
An Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the assigned theatre by ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining operational excellence. Is responsible for collaborating closely with the General Manager to maintain efficient processes, directly oversee staff members, uphold company standards, foster a positive team environment, and drive success.Responsibilities:
- Assisting with supervision and coordination of all activities of the theatre with a focus on leadership and operational efficiency
- Directly manage and oversee staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions, to ensure efficient operations and adherence to company standards.
- Verify Film Presentation Standards by ensure that the assigned theatre adheres to high-quality film presentation standards, enhancing the cinematic experience for our guests.
- Oversee proper inventory management and money-handling procedures.
- Assist in hiring, training, and coaching team members.
- Delegate tasks effectively to ensure the business operations of the theatre are running at full capacity.
- Set the tone for a positive team atmosphere, fostering collaboration and enthusiasm.
- Interact with guests to enhance their theatre experience.
- Ensure theatre team members deliver superior customer service.
- Champion Change and Corporate Initiatives by driving positive change within the theatre
- Support corporate initiatives to enhance operations and guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to theatre operations.
- Maintain a professional demeanor among team members and management.
- Represent Cinemark’s culture, mission, and values to all team members and the local community.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school graduate or GED preferred.
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a Senior Assistant Manager in a theatre environment or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role or in leading and directing the work of a team.
- Availability to work at least 40 hours and 5 days per week.
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift.
- Ability to respond with a sense of urgency.
- Commitment to excellence for both guests and employees.
- Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication and effective follow-up.
- Ability to inspire and lead a team.
