Role Summary:
What is an Account Manager?The Account Manager strategically sells Cinemark USA as a premier event venue to drive ancillary revenue and attendance while executing private events within a designated territory from proposal stage to closing. This position serves as the day-to-day point of contact for external clients across all industry and market segments booking Premium Private Screenings, Field Trips, Theatre Church, Meetings, Studio Marketing Events and more.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate relationships with key clients in order to produce additional business.
- Conduct market research to identify and acquire new clients.
- Prospect new business partnerships to expand Cinemark’s reach.
- Serve as a formal resource for standards and best practices as part of the "Private Event Terms & Conditions".
- Support development and preparation of marketing campaigns to generate business.
- Be proactive, solutions-oriented and think creatively toward continuous improvement to ensure exceptional client experience.
- Generate ideas that support Marketing & Events strategy to drive short-term and long-term revenue goals.
- Collaborate and align with internal teams, including Marketing counterparts, Film, IT, Accounting, and Food & Beverage.
A Day in the Life of an Account Manager:
- Respond quickly to client requests in a friendly manner. Follow up to ensure client satisfaction.
- Negotiate and quote events, generate invoices and collect payment.
- Manage event budgets, including catering and audio visual. Submit invoicing.
- Oversee and maintain detailed records within the event management system including database records of contacts, responses, event details and attendance.
- Assist clients in menu and space planning; coordinate food, beverage, meeting room set-up, and other services requested by client; assure that all requirements are communicated and completed to the client’s specifications.
- Consult with internal and external staff regarding all aspects of the event presentation including room arrangement, menus, service scheduling, facilities, equipment, parking, transportation, etc., as applicable to each event.
- Effectively communicate event logistics to theatre staff who handle all on-site operations and execution.
What You Will Need to Have:
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in event management, marketing, sales or business development, or related experience.
- Client & Team Relations:
- Creative problem-solver to ensure operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
- Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organization levels.
- Highly motivated with an eager attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team to contribute to ambitious sales goals.
- Self-starter, self-motivated and capable of seeking additional business opportunities while developing client relationships for long-term loyalty.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Involvement in forecasting and financial planning.
- General understanding of business operations, objectives, strategies, process and information flow.
- Comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets.
- Committed to regular maintenance of event management system to ensure accuracy of revenue reporting and client data.
- Sales & Marketing:
- Ability to influence, negotiate, upsell and cross-sell to reach maximum revenue potential per event.
- Proven track record of setting, meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
- Experience in marketing with the potential and attitude required to learn and eventually lead cross channel campaigns.
- Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management.
- Event & Project Management:
- Experience planning events through the full life cycle and executing multiple events simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, plan and organize the business activity and deliver results under pressure.
- Must be extremely organized and comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven aptitude to establishing priorities, allocating resources and meeting deadlines.
- Salesforce and Pardot experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
